YouTube Videos on Top of Other Windows, sounds better right? It’s easy on PC but not on Android. If you want to learn the tricks to play YouTube videos on top of other opened Windows in PC using VLC media player, you must know the following two steps. If you want to enable background play of YouTube videos on Android, switch to either of the below tutorials.
I update the above two tutorials as Google removes YouTube related such apps from Play Store.
The first one is how to make VLC media player to Play YouTube videos and the second one is how to make VLC always play on top of other Windows. It is not as much tough as it sounds like. I will explain the two steps in detail below. You can use our recent tutorial to set VLC to Play YouTube videos. Below is the tutorial link.
The above tutorial has all the ingredients to make VLC ready to play YouTube videos. Now to the second part means play VLC on top of other Windows.
If you want to watch videos on top of other Windows using VLC, you have to make changes to the default video settings of VLC. To do that;
Steps to Play YouTube Videos on Top of Other Windows on PC
Go to VLC > Tools > Preferences.
Click the Video tab / icon on the left and enable “Always on top”. Save and exit VLC.
Now again open VLC media player.
Copy any of your favourite video’s URL from YouTube.
Then go to VLC > Media > Stream, you can use the shortcut Ctrl+S instead, and paste the URL under Network tab, network URL field.
Click the Play not the Stream button to start playing YouTube video on top of all the other opened Windows.
Note: If the play is note initiated you must follow the below workaround to fix it.
Resize VLC to the minimum or required size and enjoy.
This way you can run YouTube videos on top of other windows on your PC.
